Hasbrouck House is just a 2 hour drive from NYC.
Background: Set in a restored 18th-century stone Dutch Colonial mansion with a stable and a carriage house, this chic hotel is 12 miles from the city of Kingston and 19 miles from the town of Woodstock.
Back in August, Isabell and I took a mini girl's trip to upstate New York. We wanted to get away from the city and also use this time as a work trip for the blog. It was such a great time to just relax by the pool and do fun activites.
There are so many activities to do at Hasbrouck House! One of my favorite things was the movie night (when weather permits) and having smores by the fire.
Around the beautiful hotel are other places to check out. We went to some small cafes and shops to just look around.
Hasbrouck House was kind enough to offer us a discount and also upgraded our room.
Wake up with me!
We woke up early to have a start to the day. In the morning, we used the in-room Keurig machine to make some coffee. (Which is much needed!) After a quick cup of coffee, I checked some emails and did some admin stuff.
Isabell spent some time on her laptop checking a few things. We were just lounging and getting plans set for the day.

There is no breakfast at Hasbrouck. When we did stay at Hasbrouck House for breakfast, they did leave out some delicious muffins and coffee.
gotta go get a tan
Since it was one of the warmer days of the weekend, we enjoyed some sunbathing and swimming in the pool.
I loved their variety of pool floats and cute decor items at the pool. They even had a makeshift water bar, so you stay quenched under the hot sun!
is this my angle?
Even with relaxing and spending time with the best friend, it was also a work trip. We needed to get some shots for upcoming blog posts and we were spoiled with the beauty of Hasbrouck House and Stone Ridge.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the shoot...

we decided to go watch a movie on the patio.
Originally it was Finding Nemo but the movie couldn't play. So we ended up watching Monsters Inc and then had some smores around the campfire. Best way to wind down the night.
Garnier was kind enough to send some goodies for our trip. My secret to good skin and being lazy are face masks!
